Photo of the Week - Tennessee Valley After the Rain

Northern California’s rains not only saturated the earth, they saturated the colors. Grasses lushed up to vibrant greens, yellows and reds. Walking through nature’s Tennessee Valley, just north of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge after several days in unnatural Las Vegas was a spiritual grounding, getting my feet back on real, albeit muddy, soil. The low winter sun warmed up colors to Technicolor intensity, a welcome relief to flickering neon advertising “Nude Mechanical Bull Riding”.
