This is the weekend of the Festa dell’Uva, the Grape Festival in Bardolino, Italy. Bardolino, on the shores of Lake Garda, is the focal point of the Bardolino D.O.C. (Denominazione di Origine Controllata,
the equivalent of French appellation). Bardolino, the wine, is a light,
sometimes fizzy brew that fits the mood of the festival perfectly. My
